As the complex and intricate international situation and extreme weather events emerging endlessly, we are facing unprecedented challenges, with new issues and problems urgently needing to be studied and resolved. To safeguard life safety and reduce asset losses, the Asia Pacific region urgently needs its own professional emergency rescue force. With comprehensive research and evaluation and the strong support of relevant departments and leaders, the "Asia Pacific Humanitarian Emergency Rescue Organization" emerged at the right moment.
The organization will strictly adhere to the "Basic Law of Hong Kong" and the principle of "one country, two systems". It will gather experts, scholars, well-known figures from related industries and institutions, managers from enterprises and institutions, as well as people from all sectors who are enthusiastic about supporting emergency rescue, risk warning, and safety assessment work. Using Hong Kong, China, as an international window and relying on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area for logistical support, the organization will organize academic discussions and exchange activities related to humanitarian emergency rescue. Its aim is to comprehensively enhance people's awareness of risk response, improve their abilities for self-protection, self-rescue, and rescue of others, minimize disaster losses to the greatest extent possible, and contribute to the economic construction and sustainable development of Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region.
