APHERO Sends Vice President Harry Chen and Secretary-General Li Yunxia to the Philippines Upon Invitation from PSEA for learning and donation.
When buying in bulk for disaster relief, work directly with grocery stores to keep unnecessary packaging at the source. Instead of transporting boxes, plastics, and wrappers into communities—where they often end up as trash—we asked the store to repack items into practical bundles.

The results were clear:
• Less packaging waste → materials stayed with the store and went directly to recycling plants.
• Lower carbon emissions → fewer transport trips, smarter logistics, reduced CO₂ impact.
• Greater community benefit → villagers received essentials without the burden of excess debris.
This experience proved that collaboration is key. By planning ahead and working hand-in-hand with retailers, we can reduce waste, cut carbon, and deliver aid more sustainably.
💡 Message to share:
“Every step counts. When we rethink packaging and logistics, we don’t just deliver goods—we deliver hope without harm. Sustainable giving means caring for people and the planet.”
