On March 7th, the highly anticipated Second Boao Disaster Prevention and Reduction Conference was held at the International Conference Center of Boao Asia Bay International Hotel in Qionghai City, Hainan Province.

Liu Xiaofeng, Vice Chairman of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Zheng Guoguang, Director of the Office of the Leading Group for the First National Comprehensive Risk Survey of Natural Disasters under the State Council, former Secretary General of the National Disaster Reduction Commission and former Deputy Minister of the Emergency Management Department, Lu Zhiyuan, President of the Hainan Charity Federation, and Fu Sheng, Mayor of Qionghai City, attended the conference and delivered speeches. The opening ceremony was presided over by Tang Bao, Secretary General of the China Association for Disaster Prevention.

This conference attracted more than 1200 academicians and experts from fields such as disaster prevention, reduction and relief, emergency management, and safety production, as well as representatives from relevant research institutes, universities, enterprises and institutions, charitable organizations, foundations, and insurance companies. Asia Pacific humanitarian emergency rescue organizations attended the conference and delivered keynote speeches at relevant sub forums.

Ms. You Jingyu, Honorary President of the Asia Pacific Humanitarian Emergency Rescue Organization, gave a detailed speech on "Simulation and Postdisaster Analysis of Extreme Weather" at the Artificial Intelligence Forum for Disaster Prevention and Reduction, proposing that humanitarian rescue should be carried out in a scientific way to prevent and reduce disasters, truly achieving precise rescue and putting life first.

Mr. Chen Tianming, Vice President of Apollo, gave a comprehensive explanation on the impact of ocean conservation on sustainable human development at the disaster prevention and public welfare conference. Chen Tianming, who is nearly 70 years old, cleared nearly 100 tons of garbage in 8 years, touching and moving the guests with practical actions, and encouraging everyone to pay attention to humanitarianism and protect the ocean.

Apollo was jointly launched by the China Disaster Prevention Association and the Asia Pacific Security Association Macau Branch in Hong Kong in June 2023. It made its first appearance at the Boao Conference on Disaster Prevention and Reduction, which is of great significance and far-reaching impact. Just as the mission of the Asia Pacific Humanitarian Emergency Rescue Organization is to provide humanitarian assistance and prioritize life; Scientific intelligence, prevention first, mobilize all available forces, and make due contributions to the community with a shared future for mankind.
