To thoroughly implement President Xi’s important directives on disaster prevention, mitigation, and relief work, as well as the decisions and deployments of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and to accelerate the modernization of natural disaster prevention and control systems and capabilities, the China Association for Disaster Prevention (CADP), under the guidance of the Ministry of Emergency Management, will leverage its advantages as a national comprehensive disaster reduction organization to host the ‌"2025 Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Conference"‌ at the Hangzhou International Expo Center from April 28 to 29, 2025. The conference is expected to attract approximately 2,000–2,500 participants.

Following thorough deliberation, the CADP’s Sub-Committee for Science Education and the Sub-Committee for Emergency Rescue Services, in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Humanitarian Emergency Rescue Organization (A-HERO), will co-host a sub-forum titled ‌"Shared Destiny, Safe Journey Together: Global Perspectives on Disaster Science Education and Emergency Rescue Development."‌ The sub-forum will feature keynote speeches, round table dialogues, case studies, and interactive sessions to delve into topics such as domestic and international trends in disaster prevention and mitigation, emergency response systems and cross-departmental collaboration, disaster science education, and the application of digital tools. The aim is to drive innovation in disaster prevention and mitigation, enhance collaborative capabilities, and foster shared safety development.
